Stainless Steel Aqua Bench Finishes & Specifications

Stainless Steel legs and seat support frames:

  • Tig welded in jigs for dimensional consistency and welds ground flush
  • Colouring and oxidation effects removed using electrochemical cleaning, then polished to a dull finish for consistency and optimum appearance

Made in Britain304 grade stainless steel (also known as 1.4301/304) is the most versatile and commonly used stainless material and is sometimes referred to by its old name 18/8 derived from the fact its nominal composition is 18% chromium and 8% nickel.

304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments and when in contact with corrosive media. Pitting and crevice corrosion can occur in environments containing chlorides, or cracking can occur at temperatures over 60C.

HPL Compact grade laminate seats where ST codes are chosen:

  • 12.7mm thick black core with coloured surfaces, cut to size with radiused edges, factory fitted to seat support frames or pre-drilled ready for coat hooks on hook rails.
