304 grade stainless steel (also known as 1.4301/304) is the most versatile and commonly used stainless material and is sometimes referred to by its old name 18/8 derived from the fact its nominal composition is 18% chromium and 8% nickel.
304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments and when in contact with corrosive media. Pitting and crevice corrosion can occur in environments containing chlorides, or cracking can occur at temperatures over 60C.
HPL compact grade laminate is made of 70% and 30% thermosetting resins bonded under pressure to form an immensely strong and durable board with excellent moisture resistance, great impact resistance, is scratch and wear resistant, easy to clean and is very hygienic.
